Water Pollution Water Pollution- is a serious problem in Russia, 50% of all water in Russia is now polluted. Water pollution affects the entire biosphere. In almost all cases the effect is damaging not only to individual species and population, but also to the natural biological communities. Clean and plentiful water provides the foundation for future population of Russia.

Air Pollution Air pollution is the introduction of particulates, biological molecules, or other harmful materials into the Earth's atmosphere, possibly causing disease, death to humans, damage to other living organisms such as food crops, or the natural or built environment. A lot of million tons of pollutants release into open air every year.

Deforestation Forests cover 70% of the land area in Russia. They produce vital oxygen and provide homes for people and wildlife. Trees also play a critical role in absorbing the greenhouse gases that fuel global warming. Many of the world’s most threatened and endangered animals live in forests. Deforestation comes in many forms, including fires, clear-cutting for agriculture, ranching and development, unsustainable logging for timber, and degradation due to climate change.

Extinction of animals and plants It’s frightening but true: Our planet is now in the midst of its sixth mass extinction of plants and animals — the sixth wave of extinctions in the past half-billion years. We’re currently experiencing the worst spate of species die-offs since the loss of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Although extinction is a natural phenomenon, it occurs at a natural “background” rate of about one to five species per year. Scientists estimate we’re now losing species at 1, 000 to 10, 000 times the background rate, with literally dozens going extinct every day. It could be a scary future indeed, with as many as 30 to 50 percent of all species possibly heading toward extinction by mid-century.

Global Warming Does the global warming so dangerous for Russia or this is blessing for our country? This is really difficult and serious question and all people want to know what will be with Russian area and climate 20 years later. . .

In conclusion I want to say, that we should care about our planet
