Learning English: Writing • Read much to write well! • Revise your vocabulary lists regularly; highlight words with difficult or ‘weird’ spelling (“bizarre”, “freight”, “sesquipedalian”, etc) • Never hesitate to look up a word in a dictionary. Use various dictionaries often and to purpose • Try your hand at writing whenever you can: translate from Russian, write letters, emails, articles, and essays • Use spelling checkers, but don’t trust them blindly!
