Endagered species of animals Hi, our names are Maria and Ann!Now we will tell you about such a global problem as endagered species of animals. In our time there is many species in danger. Such animals need special care and protection, that is very important for their reproduction.
Reasons of animals extinction The extinction of animal species depends on human activity. World globalization, development of new territories, and other deadly processes of human civilization has brought some species to the edge of the abyss. Study by the World Wildlife Fund shows that in a desperate situation were many representatives of flora and fauna of the planet. Moreover, extinction of wildlife is progressing day by day.
Why do animals die out? Biological extinction occurs whenever a species of animal or plant life is permanently lost. Because of a variety of factors, the earth is currently losing perhaps one species per day. One of the strongest factors in causing this loss is human activity. For example, hunting, pollution, and the clearing of the rain forests can all be blamed for the destruction of many species. The issue of biological extinction raises questions regarding the threat of mass extinction. Mass extinction occurs when a large number of different species die out during the same period of time. Human beings are dependent upon the natural ecosystem for their survival. Mass extinction would have an adverse effect on the balance of nature as it exists in the world today. As such, the threat of mass extinction has important implications for the future fate of humankind.
Now we`ll show you some of the most endagered species I the world. They are white bears, Pacific walruses, Magellanic penguins, leatherback turtles, bluefin tuna, mountain Gorillas, Danaides butterfly monarch, Javan rhino and big Panda.
White bears became victims of global climate change, losing his place of habitation.
Magellanic penguins because of warming ocean currents are at risk of starving to death because fish shoals (the source of their livelihood) are changing their routes, departing farther and farther into the ocean.
Recent estimates indicate that the number of leatherback turtles is decreased, especially in the Pacific, where there are only 2300 only adult females.
Bluefin tuna in serious danger of extinction due to unregulated fishing practices in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
Number of mountain gorillas declined and there are currently only 720 individuals.
Danaides butterfly monarch are threatened with extinction due to climate change and deforestation in Mexico, where this species migrates from the USA and Canada for the winter.
Javan rhino is one of the largest mammals threatened with extinction. In the world there are only two populations of these animals and a total of at least 60 individuals.
Big panda - the international symbol of endangered species, the symbol of World Wildlife Fund. Researchers estimate that in the wild, there are only 1600 species of animals and their future is very uncertain looms in the background of the economic boom in China, where they live.
What we need to do to stop animals dying? -Stop poaching -Stop deforestation, draining of swamps, pouring waste into rivers -Stop acclimatization of alien species -Stop destruction, in order to protect agricultural products -Stop pollution
