CONCLUSIONS 1. ICTs in educational procedure can make difficult concepts, such as GIS, to be understood by the pupils with easy and entertaining way. 2. The pupils of 12 years old are familiar with ICTs and more specific with e games. 3. E-games offer the possibility to explore the world with easy handle and self attendance way, conquering the knowledge by playing. University of Patras, Greece
CONCLUSIONS 4. After the laboratory training using Google earth and egames we gave the chance to the pupils to play and understand what GIS is. 5. We gave to the pupils the possibility to explore the world but also to test their previous knowledge. 6. From the comparison of pre and post tests the results show that the pupils changed their attitudes concerning the meaning of GIS and they replaced their misconceptions with the scientific definition.
