Social controls Almost every site allows customers to review the products they purchased. Terms of agreements that deal with plausible problems with transactions, distribution, and customer satisfaction Transactions are often via credit card or Paypal to ensure that products are paid for properly.

Amazon The goal of Amazon is to make shopping as convienient and simple as possible with the loweest prices possible. Members are able to buy and sell items, they are also able to rate and post pictures of products. To maintain reliabilty, Amazon groups with certain members and ships off thier orders. (Fulfilled by Amazon) They also have a good resolution center where, if you have a problem with your order, they will fix it for you. Amazon keeps customers coming back with thier constant sales and incentives when you buy things. This sited is organzied into categories Ex: Clothes, Furniture, Electronics, etc. The success of this site has forced many retailers such as Walmart to branch into online shopping. Domino’s url: dominos. com Links customers order to a local Domino’s chain restaurant to complete the transaction and distribution. This group is informal because you do not need to make direct order with an employee while taking your order, reducing personal communication. This is a B 2 C community; a customer creates their order online Customers can track the progress of their order online and customers can even make orders days in advance. Domino’s offers coupons to online shoppers. Social controls: Requires a minimum purchase amount for delivery. However it is possible to place an order under a fake name/address. This e community is an example of extending big business in order to gain more profit. It can be seen as a result from competition from other pizza businesses and companies.
The Future Because of the spread of technology, the target groups for ecommerce will grow with technological growth. It is impossible to get on the internet without encountering some form of e commerce.
