СТИПЕНДИИ SPE ДЛЯ СТУДЕНТОВ SPE Foundation Gus Archie Scholarship Awards an outstanding student who plans to enter a university and pursue an undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering. SPE Foundation Nico van Wingen Graduate Fellowship The Nico van Wingen Memorial Graduate Fellowship in Petroleum Engineering is supported by the van Wingen fund of the SPE Foundation. SPE Star Scholarship and Fellowship Scholarships for undergraduates and fellowships for graduate students support those pursuing degrees related to the oil and gas industry. Henry De. Witt Smith Fellowship Smith’s example of inspired leadership, professional success, personal integrity, and boundless dedication was his heritage to the mining industry which he served all of his adult life. SPE Section Scholarships Many sections offer funding for student travel, purchasing of books and computer software, and other forms of educational outreach. Imomoh Scholarship The Imomoh Scholarship was endowed to the SPE Foundation by Egbert Imomoh to support excellence in education for students from the Africa Region. SPE Faculty Grants and Awards The SPE International Board recently approved an initiative to assist in the recruitment, development and retention of PE faculty. STAR SCHOLARSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP Star Scholarship and Fellowship The Star scholarships and fellowships supported those pursuing degrees related to the oil and gas industry. SPE will not award any new Star scholarships or fellowships in 2016 but will do it in 2017 with some changes. Eligibility q. Must be a student enrolled, or soon to be enrolled, in curriculum related to the petroleum industry. q. Must be an SPE member, if eligible. q. Must be enrolled the year following the application year. q. Comply with sanction policy. q. Complete the electronic application submission process. 3

Extracurricular Activities Описать ваши факультативные занятие (интеллектуальные игры, спортивные достижения, социально значимая деятельность, педагогическая деятельность и многое другое), к примеру: Intellectual game "What, Where, When“. I was a captain of a team for these intellectual games. The meaning of the game is to answer questions in 1 6 minute during discussions with your team.

ЗАЯВЛЕНИЕ. ЧАСТЬ 3 Professional Information Если не работали, но были стажировки или практики в нефтегазовых компаниях, работа на секцию SPE, то обязательно укажите. Estimate, in percentage, how much you expect to receive from each source. Основная задача показать, что вы тратите в год сопоставимое со стипендией количество денег и они вам нужны для обучения (книги, ноутбук, поездки на конференции, плата за жилье и т. д. ), так как ваших 7 личных доходов не достаточно для этого.

(100 200 words) Во всех этих пунктах будьте творческими, оригинальными и убедительно докажите, что ваша специальность (может на первый взгляд не быть связанной с нефтегазовой индустрией) важна для индустрии и решении ее текущих проблем (добыча трудноизвлекаемых запасов, низкие цены на нефть, высокая степень неопределенностей при моделировании и др. ). Юмор тоже приветствуется 8

МОТИВАЦИЯ q. Не думайте, что у вас не получится и что вы хуже всех (пока не подашь заявление, не выиграешь). q. Тщательно, грамотно, кратко, информативно и творчески заполняйте заявления (многие отсеиваются из за «копипаста» ). q. Описывайте все свои достижения, несмотря на кажущуюся незначительность некоторых (второе место на местной студенческой конференции тоже достижение). q. Не бойтесь попросить рекомендацию у знакомых вам авторитетных людей (кто то откажет – ничего страшного, кто то напишет – может сыграть ключевую роль). q. Успехов в получении стипендий! 10
