James Francis Cameron (born August 16, 1954) is a Canadian film director, producer, screenwriter, editor, and inventor. His writing and directing work includes The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), True Lies (1994), Titanic (1997), and Avatar (2009). In the time between making Titanic and his return to feature films with Avatar, Cameron spent some years creating documentary films, and also co-developing the digital 3 -D Fusion Camera System.

Zoe Saldana (born June 19, 1978) is an American actress. She had her breakthrough role in the 2002 film Drumline, and later gained prominence for her roles as Anamaria in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Uhura in the 2009 film Star Trek, and Neytiri in James Cameron's Avatar.
Initially James Cameron planned to let out film on screens in 1999. However, considering complexity of special effects which was going to create Cameron, the budget of film should make about $400 million. The project has laid down on a shelf where was about 10 years. Cameron has thought up a plot of film and has written the first version of the script in 1995. Film consists of 40 % alive shooting and of % realistic computer graphics.
Cameron has developed special technology which allowed to see during shootings on the screen of monitors of computer characters together with alive actors.
In Cameron's original script the foliage of plants was same dark blue as leather Na’Vi, but finally, he decided to use green color for greater realness.
