Contribution to literature He created famous novel “Robinson Crusoe”. The novel marked the beginning of realistic fiction as a literary genre. n His another famous works are: A Journal of the Plague Year(1722), Roxana(1724), The Family Instructor(1725) , A Tour Through the Whole Island of Great Britain(1724 -1727), The Complete English Tradesman(1725 -1727), A General History of the Pirates(1724 -1728). n n D. Defoe is true inlightment and he's the main writer of this literary trend.
“Robinson Crusoe” n Well-known novel about Robinson Crusoe life and his adventures. n The main idea is to glorified human labour, to show that the man can win nature. He was the son of German merchant in England. His mother wanted him to do the career in trade. n Robinson Crusoe refused of this career. n He loves and seeks adventures. n n Robinson Crusoe couldn't live without education. n

Friday, Robinson's friend n One day he rescued a man from the cannibals and named his Friday as a day when he saved him; n Crusoe saved Friday from death and the boy saved him from solitude The man was about 26 years old and he was so thankful to Robinson that he became his servant; At first Friday was usual cannibal but Robinson teached him reading, writing, math and other things he knew, after that young man changed his views and moral as the intelligent person; He became a good friend, son, kind, faithful, not obstinate; n n n
