D 0: F Ran three 50' UTP trunk cables for 32 PCs to be put on the CDF switch temporarily. MESON Cryo Project: F Last week we completed the project to install tubecable and multimode ABF from the EATC building to various areas in Meson including the MDB, PK 076, Meson Cryo and MS 4. F Some labeling and documenting is yet to be done. Basically ready for installation of new remote hubs with DCN. 3/18/2018 1

F WH 6 NW: Farnsworth Computing will install two new monitors and codec. DCI will install the cabling and connections. F Waiting to hear back from DOE on the WH 6 E and John Cooper on WH 8 x conference rooms. WILSON HALL: F WH 8 FC: Planning for the installation of overhead fiber tray for Fibrmax 900 um crossconnect patching. F WH 3 NE Conf. Data Comm. Infrastructure FEYNMAN CENTER FCC-Mezz. Area: F Project to install a permanent fiber infrastructure is on hold. We’ve planned for a flexible ABF installation that would let us connect to both the FCC 1 and 2 zoned cabling systems. FCC 1 & 2 Computer Rooms Zoned Cabling: F Plan to increase CAT 5 e capacity by reusing the existing serial console trunks with new 1000 BASET panels. F Also adding more fiber trunk capacity to zones where it’s most needed. FRR 27&28 clean out: F Have begun the phased removal of inter-building legacy fiber connections from these racks into the FCC Fibrmax crossconnect system on FCC 2. 3/18/2018 3

Data Comm. Infrastructure FCC to Casey’s Pond Fiber: F Completed patching a fiber link for analog water flow control. ADMIN: F Finished a 1 st draft of the DCI web page with links to copper and fiber cable assembly technotes, racking specifications and vendor contact information. CD webmeister is going to provide a suitable link to it. OFFSITE SERVICES: Kautz Road Buildout: F Technical specificaion for the RFQ is near completion. We have conduit locations details from FESS. Met with the BD to get the exact dark fiber assignments to MI-60. F 1550 nm OTDR module requisition with CCF Dept. Head. 3/18/2018 4
