FIRST TIME. v First time Judy said about the farm In letter 20. She was about to be there for about three months. She didn’t know “what kind of a thing a farm is” because she had never been to one. But she was looking forward to it. She knew that she would like it.

ARRIVAL. v She reached the farm at Saturday night in letter 21. She really liked it. She had even drawn a picture to show it is look like. People who lived there were Mr. and Mrs. Semple a hired girl with two hired men. Judy with Semples had a supper and a great conversation. She was going to spend her summer holidays writing a novel.

HOLIDAYS. v Judy learned that the real owner of this farm was Mr. Jervis Pendleton but he had given this farm to Mrs. Semple who was his old nurse. The previous day she had ridden on a hay wagon. Her daily business was to hunt the eggs. She was very excited about what she saw on the farm. One of the calves was named after her and one after Daddy. The farm kept her so busy that she couldn't start a novel. She found a book “On The Trail” which “Master Jervie” had been reading. She left on Friday.

SECOND VISIT. Miss Abbott wrote that she is leaving next Friday to spent the summer at Lock Willow Farm. It was 9 th in June. She was writing a poem on the crotch of a tree but, she had problems with heroine. During the week of rain she was spending time on the attic and reading Stevenson. It was a news that one pig of nine didn’t come back. Then she knew the news that Mr. Pendleton was coming to Lock Willow. She cleaned all the house and was going to buy cans of paint. The next day she had a conversation with a postman who told her about what was happening in the Great World.

MASTER JERVIE. v Master Jervie had come ten days before Julie wrote a letter. She described him as a companionable man, glance looking and as simple and unaffected as he could be, long-legged, extremely nice. They had a lot of adventures like riding horseback, climbing Sky Hill Mountain etc. While they was on the mountain they were talking and laughing, but suddenly got caught in a storm. They went fishing the next day. He had gone in 10 th of September.

LOCK WILLOW AGAIN. v Judy and Sallie were at Lock Willow during Easter Vacation. They were reading, writing and having a nice time together. Jerusha started writing a book. Nine chickens were killed by a weasel or a rat. To make a long story short there were a lot of problems. She got the diploma and she wanted Daddy to come to her commencement. She had finished the second draft of the book and was about to start the third one. Amasai and Carrie got married. And she had written that she settled at Lock Willow permanently, but later she wrote that she was thinking of moving. She wanted to go to Boston with Sallie.

THE END. v Judy sold her story and sent a check to Daddy. She refused to marry Mr. Pendleton, but then she was about to see Daddy and when Jervis said that Daddy-Long-Legs is he, she was a little bit excited. She wrote her last letter. Love-letter.
