D-visa • For single or multiple entries into Estonia with a period of stay up to six months; • D-visa holders do not need to register themselves in the Population Register Office in Tartu nor to apply for the residence permit; • D-visa enables to travel in the Schengen area for up to 90 days in a six-month period under the same conditions as the holder of a residence permit. NB! Check that you have visa with multiple entries!
Validity period of your visa • Check the time period when your visa is valid! • Check how many days your visa is valid! • From 25. 08. 2014 until 01. 02. 2015 – 161 days If the number of days your visa is valid is smaller than the length of the semester, you should contact the Police and Border Guard Board. • It is not possible to extend D-visa!

Notifying Student Village • Inform Student Village that you stay in Estonia with long-term (D) visa and also the validity period of your visa (how many days it is valid and the period when it is valid).

Health insurance • You should have valid health insurance during your studies at UT; • If you don’t have health insurance, you should buy one immediately! Health insurance: visiting the doctor • Inform the insurance company. • Take the insurance contract with you to the doctor. • Be ready to pay for the costs at first and keep all documents proving the expenditures made.
