Cumbria Affordable Warmth Project 2010 -13 BASIC RULEs OF THUMB • Energy Companies are only interested in projects that deliver high CO 2 Returns • Rural Areas do not present well against the crieria due to alck of density of low income communities.
Cumbria Affordable Warmth Project 2010 -13 FUNDING Once an idea of the overall CO 2 savings is calculated then the offer can go on the table for each of the Energy Companies. To date the average on most schemes is 50/50 contributions. Some Energy companies though dependant on the CO 2 savings will go as high as 80/20.
Cumbria Affordable Warmth Project 2010 -13 50% or 20% for today's hard strapped LA’s any additional support may be out of reach? However opportunities exist to use this process to access additional funding to support renovation areas, face-lifting or neighbourhood renewal projects.
