Religion continues to play a major and decisive role in the lives of many people in India.
Holidays Four national holidays in India: Independence Day of India, Republic Day, Gandhi's Birthday, May Day are celebrated with great scope and enthusiasm throughout India. Many Indian states and regions have their own holidays, depending on the prevailing religion and language.
Architecture Indian architecture covers many expressions of space and time, constantly retaining new ideas. Religion and the tsarist, apparently, did not play a major role in the planning and arrangement of these cities. In South India, the temples of Chennakesava, Heusaleswara, Brahideeshwarar, the sun temple in Konarak, the Ranganath Temple were erected. Angkor Wat, Borobudur and other Buddhist and Hindu temples indicate a strong Indian influence on the architecture of Southeast Asia, as they were built in traditional Indian style.
Cinema Bollywood is an unofficial name given to a popular Hindi-speaking film studio in Mumbai. Bollywood and other famous film centers make up the huge Indian film industry, whose production is the largest in the world in terms of the number of films produced and tickets sold.
