Study of Environmental Quality of the area around Gibraltar: Aquatic Environmental and Acoustic Pollution an integrated study to delve into the environmental situation The Environmental Council of the Andalusian Government has proposed a project entitled “Plan for Environmental Quality Control of the Gibraltar Area”, intended to establish special sustainable development recommendations. In this area, there are many industries that directly pour their wastewater into the Bay and discharge contaminated gas to the atmosphere. 3. Environmental quality objectives for andalusian littoral The Andalusian Environmental Agency and the University of Cadiz have signed agreements to draw up proposals of quality objectives for the Andalusian littoral waters and sediments: Comparative Studies about different regulations (European Union, Spain and The United States) in order to propose seawater quality criteria in accordance with the classification of zones approved in the Andalusian Littoral Waters Quality Objectives Regulations (Decree 14/1996, 01 -16 -1996, BOJA nº 19, 02 -08 -1996) - Studies on ecotoxicology of aquatic organisms in the Andalusian Region. - Historical study about environmental impact on Cadiz Bay sediments.
