TIME FRAME FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF MANDATORY CPD FOR PERSONS REGISTERED WITH THE SAPC Phase Description Phase 1 Voluntary participation in CPD – self 2009 determination and self assessment Phase 2 Preliminary study using volunteers July 2009 and tutors for the development of the CPD system Phase 3 Mandatory CPD. During this phase 1 January 2010 – 31 CPD records will be assessed for December 2014 compliance only Pilot phase for testing the 2010 – 2014 assessment tool Phase 4 Phase 5 Dates Mandatory CPD with assessment of 1 January 2015 CPD records 35
