Working with c. 50 communities § 16 in Highland (11 in Lochaber, Skye and Wester Ross, 5 in Sutherland) § 11 in Argyll (soon to be 9 as Coll and Jura leave) § 7 in Orkney § 4 in Shetland § 8 in Innse Gall § 3 in Moray § £ 2. 8 million public funds into supporting LDO posts (2011 – 2013) Ambitious for Scotland

What have we achieved? In Highland § There at least 145 projects being led or supported by LDOs (111 led by anchor org. 34 led by other community organisations § The LDOs have been instrumental in attracting a minimum of £ 2, 214, 000 into the economy § …and have made or supported funding bids totalling £ 4, 610, 000, some of which are still pending (as at September 2012) Ambitious for Scotland

What have we achieved In Innse Gall § At least 62 projects have been progressed in Phase 1 (40 by anchor organisations, 22 by other community organisations § £ 3, 650, 000 has been attracted into the communities in support of these projects § Funding bids totalling at least £ 1, 910, 000 are pending Ambitious for Scotland

What have we achieved Throughout the Highlands and Islands § A range of projects are in progress – some of which are included on the following slides Ambitious for Scotland

Revenue Generation Renewables § Orkney Wind Turbines turning, and generating revenue § Tiree wind turbines also generating revenue § Other areas at various stages of progress with wind turbines / hydro schemes (Barra, Coigach in partnership with SWT) Ambitious for Scotland
