Comberton Village College welcomes you to its 3 rd International Talent Evening The Performance Hall Comberton Village College 20 October 2010 In support of our 12 Africa volunteers 2011
Welcome to the third International Talent Evening at CVC in support of our 12 Africa student volunteers for 2011 and thank you for attending this event. The theme of the event, its motto if you like, is ‘Haba na haba hujaza kibaba’, a Swahili saying that roughly translated means ‘every little helps’! It is so often the case that we can succeed jointly where individually we would fail to make much of an impact. Many people have contributed to make this evening a reality but I must mention in particular our 12 students from Year 11 who will travel, 6 to South Africa and 6 to Mozambique, to our partner schools in Africa next summer and thank them and their families for the raffle prizes, catering and hard work on the night. Thanks also to the Languages Department for their time, energy and enthusiasm in preparing their classes for Spanglovision. This evening is fundamentally a celebration of the cultural and linguistic diversity and talent that CVC pupils have and are developing. We very much hope you enjoy the event.
