National Symbols Yellow: Represents all the gold found in the Colombian land. Blue: Represents the seas on Colombia's shores. As well as that Colombia is border by 2 oceans. Climate About 86% of the country's total area lies in the hot zone. The striking variety in temperature and precipitation results principally from differences in elevation.
