ENGLISH II IS A STAAR COURSE • English II • Biology • US History • Algebra I • You will receive more information regarding STAAR throughout the year.

TEACHING METHOD • Several teaching methods will be implemented in this course, including cooperative learning, lecture, group interaction, individual tutorials, conferencing, personal assessment, and peer assessment. A successful student must take responsibility for his or her own learning and take advantage of the help that is available!

IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO COME TO CLASS EACH DAY WITH THE APPROPRIATE MATERIALS FOR CLASS. Required Materials: • 1. One ream of paper • 2. One tissue box • 3. One standard size of hand sanitizer • 4. 2 packages of Loose-leaf notebook paper (college ruled or wideruled) • 5. Blue or Black pens and # 2 pencils • 6. Three color highlighters • 7.
