Phoenix Transit Technology Scheduling and Dispatch (HASTUS) l Route, vehicle and crew scheduling, and dispatch are functions supported by HASTUS, a software developed by GIRO, a Canadian Company. l Main users groups: Veolia Phoenix Scheduling, Dispatch, and OCC, and PTD Operations and Planning
Phoenix Transit Technology Scheduling and Dispatch (HASTUS) INPUTS – Schedule Changes from different sources – Bus stops data – Previous schedules OUTPUTS – Bus book – Schedules for vehicle Management System and Trip Planning – Fare Collection System – Maintenance Management System
Phoenix Transit Technology Scheduling and Dispatch (HASTUS) l Route, vehicle and crew planning and scheduling – Valley Metro Schedules are created using the HASTUS Scheduling functionality – Adjusted from feedback from residents, agencies and providers – Output used to produce the bus book l Dispatch vehicle and work assignment – Bus operators automatically sing in – Information on their route is issued, operators receive vehicle assignment – Operators perform a driving task l The dispatch functionality is integrated with HASTUS Scheduling, Vehicle Maintenance (VMS) and Trip Planning l In the future HASTUS will provide data to the Fare Collection System and the Maintenance Management System.

Phoenix Transit Technology Trip Planning l l l Trip Planning functionality is supported by ATIS, an application developed by Trapeze. This system supports customer service representatives in assisting riders in planning their trips. The system also has an online interface to help residents to plan their own trips (valleymetro. org).
