My family on Christmas Eve

We usually have a first course of some kind of seafood- shrimp cocktails, oysters, etc

• For the main course we often have small foul, like quail or Cornish game hen • Some families have roast turkey or roast beef. Ham is also a popular main dish

• We also have a vegetable, such as green beans, peas, or brussels sprouts • For a starch we often have potatoes or rice • We drink wine and sparkling cider with dinner • For dessert my great aunt often makes rum cake – Every year it gets stronger and stronger

• On Christmas day, me, my brother, my parents, and my grandma have a big breakfast of eggs, bacon, fresh rolls and jam • Then we open presents • Sometimes we also watch Christmas parades on TV
