Chase Meadow Community Centre (CMCC) Strategy September 2017
Background • The centre opened in October 2013. • The organisation is a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 6 December 2010 (Chase Meadow Community Centre) and registered as a charity on 27 March 2014 (Chase Meadow Community Centre Ltd Charity). • The directors of the company are also charity trustees for the purposes of charity law and under the company’s Articles are known as members of the Management Committee. Under the requirements of the Memorandum and Articles of Association the members of the Management Committee are elected to serve for a period of three years after which they must be re-elected at the next Annual General Meeting. • Chase Meadow Centre Partners Community Interest Company (CIC) was incorporated on 3 October 2013 and is a partnership between CMCC, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and Warwick District Council, which holds a ‘sinking fund’ for the centre. CMCC holds two votes compared to one vote each of the other two partners.
Who runs the centre In addition to between 6 to 8 volunteers at any one time w have a number of part time paid colleagues (employed and self employed): • • Centre Manager Cleaner Maintenance person Community Development Manger All of our paid colleagues also do a number of hours on a voluntary basis.

Key Objective 1 - Financial stability. Rationale Ensure stability and a certain future for CMCC and ensure ongoing benefits for the community it serves. As a minimum, balance income and expenditure to avoid deficit but aim to save annually to build a savings pot for future capital expenditure.
