Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbery, England.
Since childhood Charles Darwin like to observe plants and animals.
At age 16 Darwin entrolled at Edinburgh University. His father hoped he would follow in his footsteps and become a medical doctor, but Darwin chose another way.
Two years later, Charles Darwin became a student at Christ's College in Cambridge.
After Darwin graduated Christ's College with a bachelor of arts degree in 1831, his mentor Henslow recommended him for a naturalist’s position aboard the HMS (His Majesty's Ship) Beagle.
The survey trip around the world was a five-years.
Naturalist described and explored different animals as a darwin's rhea, Falkland Islands wolf, marine iguana and some other.
On 24 November 1859 saw the publication of his famous book “On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life”. Although these ideas appear before, wider public learned about them from the book of Darwin.
Charles Darwin died at his family home, Down House, in London, on April 19, 1882. He was a geologist and an outstanding naturalist, but is best known for his writing on the origin and evolution of species that are being discussed so far.
