Topicality The topicality of our research concerns the fact that nowadays there are thousands of people who are ready to help the others opposing those who are totally against it for certain reasons.
Aim The aim of our research is to study of the attitude to philanthropy in different cultural contexts.
Subject matter the image of charity; the means by which charity exists in different cultural contexts.
Worldview the overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world; a collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group.

What is charity? Charitable giving is the act of giving money, goods or time to the unfortunate, either directly or by means of a charitable trust or other worthy cause.
Charity is usually meant for the orphans, widows, sick, disabled, and the aged people who have no one to look after them. It can be of several types: governmental or individual; aimed at animals, people or organizations; donating resources; health care.
Individual charity Individual giving refers to many charitable gifts made by the general public and is by far the largest source of charities’ income from donations.
Charity in USA 100% positive attitude to charity; 83% of respondents participate in philanthropy themselves; mainly help children, elderly people, the ill and handicapped.
Charity in USA money is the key source of support in the opinion of American people; moral support also counts; philanthropic events are held in people’s workplaces/universities.
Charity in USA Forms: direct help to a person in need and charitable fairs; Organizations: Breast Cancer Association, American Red Cross, United Way, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, American Cancer Society

Conclusion USA is an individualistic country with a long-term orientation, thus helping the nearest who are in trouble is essential for them as they support the high living standards and the general life level of the society.
Conclusion Russian’s phenomenon of generous soul, famous worldwide, alongside with the collectivistic society order and the long-ago established traditions also do not let us leave those who need it without help.
Conclusion The absolute totality of people have voted for charity. However, Americans are ready to devote more time and spend more money on philanthropy than Russians. Moral support and humanitarian aid are essential to be donated.
