HIV/AIDS awareness raising In October 2005 a seminar and workcamp were organised in co-operation HIV/AIDS awareness raising In October 2005 a seminar and workcamp were organised in co-operation with UNESCO to adapt the French manual on awareness raising on HIV AIDS using forum theatre to anglophone Africa. CCIVS is currently working on a new version of a kit for awareness raising on HIV AIDS in anglophone Africa using forum theatre. CCIVS is also developing a pilot project on an itinerant series of capacity building seminars in various African countries aiming at training a maximum number of youth leaders on efficient and culturally adapted ways to raise awareness on HIV AIDS.

Conflict resolution is in fact a permanent feature of any voluntary service project since Conflict resolution is in fact a permanent feature of any voluntary service project since we consider that the notion of conflict forms part of every-day life and the ways to solve it at micro level are also relevant for macro level. Several CCIVS member organisations are active in the field of conflict prevention, reconciliation and conflict resolution. Some focus on the role of civil society organisations in conflict area while others are obliged to function in a situation of conflict. CCIVS is currently working on a new edition of its publication “Voluntary Service in Conflict areas”, which will soon be available on line.
