Room layout: 4 similar but not identical islets 1 colour printer 4 large 46” screens for general purpose fixed displays 5 IP-touch phones 3 19”screens for laptops and mail/web on central tables ~50 19”screens for controls, local fixed displays, administration and access on outer tables 19” cabinet for rackable HW (access, intercom, beam inhibits, radiation alarms …) D. Project status as of today • TS works finished except: – – Finishing paint (27/1) Heating/AC (27/1? ) Blinds and lighting controls (20/1) CCC Access control operational but administration needed (cards distribution + EDH authorizations) Simulation December 3 rd 2004 D. Project status as of today (2) • CO works: – Most hardware installed – Configuration in progress, TI islet will be delivered 19/1 – Other islets to follow; end January 27 th • Video signals – Last HW delivery mid February – System operational end February • Communications – All phones installed, operational – Server configuration started 13/1, finishing 27/1, tests start with TI 30/1 – SPS intercom February • Fast analog signals – First HW batch delivered last week (11/1) – Observation of signals mid-April D. Project status as of today (3) • PS complex access – Configuration and test under way – Switch control from CSA on week-end February 4 -5 (LEIR starts February 6 th!) – Radio protection alarms: Hardware being installed • SPS Access – racks in 867 for configuration; move to CCC 20/1 – Test access control from CCC 2 nd fortnight March D. Schedule/resources for TI • CCC Cold checkout starts January 23 rd – Configure and test application programs – Configure and test room functions (lighting and blinds controls…) – Configure and test communications (30 -31/1) – Additional 2 TI technicians 8 hours/day • Move in from MCR on February 1 st – 1 TI + 1 PS/PSB 24/7 until PS shifts start D. Schedule/resources for PS complex • CCC Cold checkout starts February 13 th – – Configure and test application programs Configure and test communications 2 PS/PSB technicians 8 hours/day Until PS/PSB shifts start, access given by PSB technician on TI shift • PS magnet tests start 20/2 • PSB/PS closed 6/3 – PSB HW tests – Additional 2 PS/PSB tech 8 hours/day • PS shifts start 20/3 – 3 tech on shift 24/7 – Only 1 TI tech D. Schedule/resources for SPS • CCC Cold checkout starts March 6 th – Configure and test communications – Configure and test application programs – Test access control • Give access only during working hours – 2 SPS technicians 8 hours/day • SPS shifts start 3/4 for HW tests – 2 tech on shift 24/7 • Request of SPS OP in February – for TI 8/CNGS tests! Schedule/resources for Cryogenics • CCC Cold checkout starts March 6 th in parallel with operations/tests from local control rooms – Configure and test application programs – Configure and test communications – 1 AT/ACR technician + 1 AB/CO 8 hours/day • First operation from CCC expected in June D. Schedule/resources for LHC HWC • CCC Cold checkout starts September 4 th – Test access control – Configure and test application programs – Configure and test communications – 3 LHC OP or Ei. Conclusion • Good collaboration needed between all parts (AB/OP, AB/CO, TS/CSE, TS/EL, TS/CV, AT/ACR, TS/HDO, IT/CS…) for validation of CCC functionalities • So far so good, February 1 st is still the delivery date: 14 days to go! D. Manglunki, AB/OP CCC Commissioning PS-SPS DAYS 18/1/ 2006 14
