ENSV ENGINEERING SSRVICES • • History Since acquiring the existing facility assets from four private bus service providers in the mid 1970’s to form Metrobus, the maintenance and training facilities proved to be either inadequate or nonexistent. In 2000, the opportunity to acquire this 725, 524 s. f. facility provided the opportunity to provide consolidated backshop maintenance and training for both Bus and Rail. The ability to provide focused hands-on training directly affects the ability to perform necessary preventive maintenance by highly skilled personnel to maintain equipment to ensure maximum service life and maintain a state of good repair. The backshops provide the in-house capability to perform mid -life rehabilitation and replacement of components to ensure full life cycle utilization and contribute to maintaining a state of good repair. 2
