Strategy #1 Have the right gear and use your resources • Further education, focus on leadership & innovation • Learn to recruit, develop & lead teams • Communicate effectively with strong interpersonal skills
Strategy #2 Get out of comfort zone and achieve balance • Focus on high-quality experiences and opportunities • Avoid taking a job for the title or the money • Do your research to ensure company will provide for you
Strategy #3 Stretch in order to grow • Work on projects that expose you to new projects & people • Don’t be afraid to take a risk, especially at this stage • Take on a challenging project in order to stretch yourself
Strategy #4 Stay open to creative solutions • Be flexible in order to advance in your career • Engage in continuous learning and leading change • Volunteer to broaden network and open new opportunities
Strategy #5 Listen to your coach • Seek a mentor • Develop a career strategy beyond your next step • Get input from those you trust to avoid mistakes and make strategic moves
Strategy #6 Glide side to side in order to accelerate growth • Make a strategic lateral move • Keep moving even if you take a lateral move or step back • Don’t freeze up with organizational restructurings or interpersonal conflicts
