Judge as a symbol of justice
General functions l Controls the trial unfoldings l Interpretates the law l The judge, in fact, remains above the legal fray, providing an independent and impartial assessment of the facts and how the law applies to those facts.
Law-making function of judge l Apart from interpretation of the law, judge may also play a role of law-maker. l It is a common procedure of judicial law- making in English legal system.
To sum up l Study of law leads to a variety of careers l System of law may differ in different countries l Knowledge of careers in international law forms the general concept of law profession in general.
