The Training Program When you are accepted as a Cadet with the RCMP, you will start your training at Depot, the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan. Here you will be assigned to a troop of 32 Cadets, and begin a 24 -week Cadet Training Program (CTP) that has a long and proud history. Cadet training is offered in both official languages, English and French. A typical day lasts from 6 a. m. until 4: 30 p. m. , and there also program-related duties after hours. While 6 months away from one’s family and friends can be a challenge, there are support services in place, and it will not be long before Depot starts to feel like home.
Job description Police officers work in partnership with the communities they serve to maintain law and order, protect members of the public and their property, prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the quality of life for all citizens. They use a wide range of technology to protect individuals, identify the perpetrators of crime and ensure successful prosecutions against those who break the law.
Where You would/could Work After cadet training, people who past the all physical and writing tests become policemen. Usually first policemen are driving car or Patrols, because this work is much easy than other.
Hours worked These people in this profession work 24 hours 7 day of week. They have to work all day along, because their profession is very important. But probably they usually work just from Monday to Friday, from 8 a. m. to 10 p. m.
Current wage in Provinces This work is very important work in all provinces, because police control and protect our live and live of public.
Physical and mental It’s very important to be in good physical and mental form. For police man those things are very important, because this person has to be polite, strong and smart. This person has to be example for other people.
Dangerous This job is very dangerous, because every day you can get shot. You have to put your life under all people life. Your job is to protect people around you.
Other careers In this profession are a lot of small sections us: Driver, detective, secretary and etc. But after police officer probably you can become security.
After education Every year police officer has to pass physical test. But usually they don’t have any kind of other tests.
In Saskatchewan As I sad this work is very important in all provinces. Police Officers plan, organize, and evaluate police force administration and police activities such as maintaining law and order and detecting and preventing crime.
