The child, who turned 14 years old, can do to determine where he is staying, if the parents live separately (Art. 160 Insurance Ukraine, Art. 29 of the Civil Code of Ukraine).

A child between the ages of 14 to 16 years has the right to change its own name or surname with parental consent or, in some cases — one of them (for example, if one parent has died, deprived of parental rights, declared missing, etc. ). A child who has attained 16 years of age, has the right to change its own name or the name of your choice (Art. 295 Insurance Ukraine).

In accordance with Art. 21 of the Law of Ukraine «On Protection of Childhood», Art. 188 of the Labour Code of Ukraine a child can be employed after reaching 16 years of age or, as an exception, after reaching 15 years with the consent of a parent, provided that his work will not harm the child’s health and education.
