Key Questions When do I need to complete the Refresher Training? Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 1 st September 2009 – PLH 31 st August 2014 – SCPLH-R 31 st December 2014 - submission
Key Questions What is the next step after receiving the SCPLH-R certificate? On receipt of your SCPLH-R certificate you have an addition 3 month period during which to submit evidence to the licensing board which issued your original licence.
Key Questions Do I send in my original Personal Licence with the SCPLH-R certificate to the Licensing Board? Yes. The renewal must be accompanied by the Personal Licence to which it relates, or a statement of reasons for failure to produce it.
Key Questions Can the training and certificate be achieved early? Yes it can within a reasonable time
Key Questions Will the Licensing Board notify me when I need to do the SCPLH-R and when to submit? Yes, however the responsibility for the refresher training and applying to the licensing board sits with the individual.
Key Questions Highland Licensing Board Refresher forms for those with personal licences from the Highland Board can be found at http: //www. highland. gov. uk/businessinformation/licensing/liq uorlicensing/. The link to the form is highlighted in yellow and marked as new. Highland Council are already accepting these and contact details for relevant offices are on the form. The Board are accepting the completed form by e-mail.
Key Questions What happen if I fail to achieve and submit the SCPLH-R certificate in time? Failure to meet your deadline, either to complete the training or submission of the evidence, will result in the Personal Licence being revoked. In the case the PLH will not be able to re apply for 5 years

Flexible Training Opportunities (FTO) • Private businesses based in Scotland with under 150 employees in total • Application must be approved prior to training starting • Up to 10 learning opportunities supported with 50% of training paid up to maximum of £ 500 per trainee.
