They either say that there is the "0" and omit the first 12 months Months 1 -12 of Adam's Life a "zeroth" year, which does not make any sense, since we don't count the days of the week 0 of Adam's life before he was age-1 to Are labeled "0" to 6, or they imply Adam was age-1 on the day he was born, which isn't the truth either. cover their tracks. Biblical Chronology Solved The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg The First Year of the World Counting with ordinal numbers, "first", "second", "third", etc. is called enumeration. We count day 1 of the week as the "first day", day 1 of the month as the "first of the month". There is no "zeroth" day of a week or a month. So there is no "zeroth" year either. Any time we enumerate units of time we start with "first", i. e. the first second, the first minute, the first hour, etc. 1 0 2 1 3 2 Adam is age-1 4 3 5 4 6 5 7 6 Now I'm properly labeled. Thanks! Months 1 -12 of Adam's Life Are labeled "0" 8 7 Counting age with cardinal numbers begins when the birthday is marked at the completion of a full year. Before age-1, a person is only counted by months. Age-date counting always indicates the number of full years a person has lived and omits the fractional year. Even when a person is 1 year 364 days old, we say he is age-1. Now lets fast forward!
Biblical Chronology Solved The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg The 131 st year of the World 129 128 Adam is age 130 129 131 130 0 132 131 1 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: 133 132 134 133 135 134 136 135 Seth's first year, before age-1 Seth is age-1 How do we know that the Bible follows our English convention of age counting? If age-1 is counted in the first year, then the chronology collapses by one year for every generation. The name of "Methuselah" is a prophecy. It means "dying-it-comes". Methuselah lived until the Flood. Collapsing the chronology would make him die several years after the flood.
Biblical Chronology Solved The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg The Creation Year Anno 1, First Year 1 2 3 1 1 4 5 6 7 8 2 The first month of the year is called Aviv or Nisan. Aviv was in the spring. In fact, in Hebrew, the month name is the way to say "spring". Aviv was the name of the first month of the year at the Exodus. After the Babylonian exile, it was changed to Nisan because the Babylonian name for the spring month was Nisanu.
Biblical Chronology Solved The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg The Creation Year Anno 1, First Year 1 2 3 1 1 4 5 6 7 8 2 The first day of the year occurs at the spring equinox. The cycle of a year is defined by the motion of the sun against the stars. When the sun returns to the same position called the vernal equinox, then this is the first day of spring. The first day of the first month was probably synchronized with the spring equinox in the year of creation. In other years, the first month was determined to be the month whose 15 th day fell on or after the spring equinox.
Biblical Chronology Solved The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg The Creation Year Anno 1, First Year Spring Equinox 1 2 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 Spring Equinox 2 All age-dated years, such as Adam's years, are normalized to begin and end with the spring equinox. Seth, and Adam's other descendents were not likely born on the spring equinox. However, to make the chronology solvable, it is necessary to assume that the Holy Spirit directed the biblical authors to normalize agedated years to a spring equinox standard. Spring Equinox

Biblical Chronology Solved The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg Agricultural Year Spring Equinox 1 sp s f Seasons 1 w 2 sp s f w 2 The agricultural year was determined by the cycle of sowing and harvest. Sowing came first, and then harvest. The harvest season began in the spring, and continued until the fall, and in the fall new crops were sown. For this reason, the agricultural year was determined from fall to fall. Agricultural Year
Biblical Chronology Solved The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg Agricultural Cycles The agricultural year developed into a cyclical 1 2 3 4 institution for Israel. Every seventh year, farmers were supposed to fallow the land, and let it rejuvenate after six years of crops. Also at the beginning of the seventh year, all debts were supposed to be canceled. And then at the feast of tabernacles, the Torah was read to all Israel. 5 6 7 Debts Cancelled And Law Read to Israel Fallow Year begins

It can always be determined which year of the agricultural cycle ends in a given creation year by dividing by 7. The remainder from the division indicates which year it is in the cycle. If there is no remainder, then the seventh year ends in that creation year. Let's do an example on the next slide. Debts Cancelled And Law Read to Israel Fallow Year begins

The matches that I provided so far do not mean a whole lot. Enoch may have been born in the seventh year, but there is a 50% chance that his birth fell in the half of the year that does not match at all. We need a strong historical allusion to a match in the scripture. The statement that Enoch is the "seventh from Adam" is not such an allusion, nor is the fact that Methuselah was the longest lived man justification for regarding a match as confirmation of the chronology. These are just some of the remarkable patterns that I point out along the way. Jubilee Fallow Year

Terah to Israel's descent into Egypt The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg 2083 205 75 Terah's age-205 matches Abraham's age-75 Bishop James Ussher got this one correct. This last match loses many chronologists inclined to imitate the Rabbis. They assume that Abraham was born when Terah was 70. However, two other sons are listed next to Abraham that could have been born at the 70 year age, Nahor, and Haran. Also, the biblical genealogical method lists the most important sons first, and not necessarily the first born. This is proven by precedent with Noah's sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham was the youngest son (Gen. 9: 24), and Japheth was older than Shem, because Shem was 100 years old 2 years after the flood (Gen. 11: 10). Shem was therefore born when Noah was 501. This precedent shows that when multiple sons are listed next to the birth year, the data cannot be used for a match. The needed information must be obtained elsewhere. See the Scroll of Biblical Chronology.
Terah to Israel's descent into Egypt The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg 2084 205 75 Terah's age-205 matches Abraham's age-75 In this case, the Scripture tells us that Terah died in Haran at age 205 (Gen. 11: 32) A short four verses later in Genesis 12: 4, we are informed that Abraham left Haran at age 75. This is the only valid match remaining, so by the process of elimination we need it to continue the chronology. We follow the principle that God meant to obscure key links, but not that He meant to put it beyond solution.

The years of the famine followed the agricultural year while Jacob's age was counted from the spring. We know that the overlap was between the first half of Jacob's age-130 year and the second half of the second famine year, because Jacob's sons had made two trips for grain. The first trip was in the spring of the 1 st year when the land failed to produce a harvest. They would have bought food for one whole year, hoping that the land would produce in the spring of the next year. In the spring of the second year, the land did not produce, and this is when their food was running out. So at the turn of the spring year, when Jacob turned age-130, they made the second trip. 129 w 2 sp s Jacob goes to Egypt. f w 130
Analysis of the Famine The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg 2083 2108 2168 205 75 100 Terah's age-205 matches Abraham's age-75 0 Abraham's age-100 matches Isaac's birth 60 0 Isaac's age-60 matches Jacob's birth 2297 2 130 2298 Jacob's age-130 matches 2 nd half of 2 nd famine year Years of the world matched up to the 2 nd year of the famine.
Analysis of the Famine The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg Now there were seven years of agricultural abundance, and seven years of famine. It sure sounds like these two seven year periods line up with the seven year agricultural cycle. In order to test this we divide: 2298 divided by 7 = 328 remainder 2. The remainder of 2 says that the 2 nd year of the agricultural cycle ends in 2298. The septennial Rosetta Stone gives an exact match for the agricultural cycle. 2297 2 130 2298 Jacob's age-130 matches 2 nd half of 2 nd famine year Years of the world matched up to the 2 nd year of the famine.
Analysis of the Famine 1 The Real Bible Code 2 Daniel Gregg 3 This match-up aligns the agricultural 4 cycle exactly with the seven years of abundance, and the seven years of famine. And it appears to confirm that God intentionally arranged these seven years to fall into the cycle correctly, because they were part of the divine vision He gave to Pharaoh. 5 6 7 1 2 130 2298 Jacob's age-130 matches 2 nd half of 2 nd famine year 3 2297 2298 4 5 6 7 Years of the world matched up to the 2 nd year of the famine.
Analysis of the Famine 1 The Real Bible Code 2 Daniel Gregg 3 What we see here is that the Bible is strongly hinting at the explicit agricultural legislation to come at the time of Moses. The account of Joseph and the famine is the historical prototype or pattern that gives the foundation for the regulations in the Law. There actually many practices in Genesis that form the basis for later legislation in the Torah. 4 5 6 7 1 2 130 2298 Jacob's age-130 matches 2 nd half of 2 nd famine year 3 2297 2298 4 5 6 7 Years of the world matched up to the 2 nd year of the famine.

First we extend the years of the world. Next we want to check if the year following the 7 th year of the agricultural cycle is a Jubilee year: 2303 divided by 49 = 47 remainder 0. 7 2303 J Why is that significant?
Analysis of the Famine The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg Why is that significant? Jacob's age-130 matches 2 nd half of 2 nd famine year 1 2 2299 With a remainder of 0, we know that the Jubilee goes here. 130 3 4 5 6 2297 2298 2299 2300 2301 2302 7 2303 J After the seven years of famine were finished, Joseph has collected all the silver in Egypt and all the land, and the people had nothing left, except their lives thanks to God's intervention and Joseph's wise administration. It was a fair exchange, but Joseph graciously returns the land to the Egyptians with the arrangement that they pay two tithes (20%) to the sovereign of the land. In this case, Pharaoh was the sovereign. However, the timing is perfect, since it appears that this is the prototype for the Law's legislation concerning the Jubilee. In the Jubilee, the land is returned to each family, however, there are two tithes that must be paid to the Sovereign LORD.
Analysis of the Famine The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg Why is that significant? Jacob's age-130 matches 2 nd half of 2 nd famine year 1 2 2298 With a remainder of 0, we know that the Jubilee goes here. 130 3 4 5 6 2297 2298 2299 2300 2301 2302 7 2303 J We could make a further case that Joseph is an archetype of the Messianic hope. He delivers Israel from certain disaster through a period of seven years of dire tribulation. Joseph was able, with divine guidance, to get Israel and Egypt through the hard times to the other side of the famine, to the Jubilee, when they could begin to rebuild their fortunes and prosper. It appears that the septennial Rosetta Stone is proving to be quite a useful key.

Abraham's "seed" begins with Isaac and Jacob were strangers in Canaan and Egypt for 400 years. God did not give them the land yet, because the sins of the Amorites were not complete. The land in vs. 13 is both the land of Canaan and Egypt. Isaac was afflicted by Ishmael as soon as he was born. . The four generations in Egypt are 1) Jacob, 2) Levi, 3) Jochebed, 4) Moses, since Moses' mother was the daughter of Levi. 13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 14 (And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. 15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. 16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. ) The same explanation is given in the Jewish Chronicle, Seder Olam. Israel was 210 years in Egypt.

On this Rabbi Judah was correct against the other Rabbis.

The Exodus to the building of the Temple The Real Bible Code Daniel Gregg Starting with the conquest of Canaan all eras, judgeships and reigns of kings are counted according to the agricultural year cycle, starting from Tishri 1, with two exceptions: 1. After the division of the kingdom, the northern kings counted their reigns from Nisan 1, copying the Assyrians and Babylonians. 2. The book of Jeremiah counts from Nisan 1. The use of the fall Tishri 1 new year is explicitly confirmed by internal synchronisms in the reign of Solomon, and Josiah at two points 4 centuries apart. Solomon begins to build the Temple just after the 480 th Passover—at the start of the 480 th year of independence, in the 2 nd month, in the 2 nd day, in the 4 th year of his reign. A Jubilee Match in David's Reign The Real Bible Code 4 A second time David "gathers all Israel", this time at the end of the seventh year, and this time he orders the ark to be carried by the Levites. The first time the Scripture does not mention Teruah or Shofar (2 Sam. 6: 5, 1 Chron. 13: 8), which are found in Lev. 25: 9 and are the signal of the Jubilee. However, on the second time, when David brings the ark from the house of Obed-edom, the divine word mentions both Teruah and Shofar, signaling the Jubilee (2 Sam. 6: 15; 1 Chron. 15: 28). The omission of the literary allusion the first time, and its inclusion the second time deliberately tell us that the second time it was the end of the Seventh year, and the Jubilee was at hand. However, David has called the assembly before the appointed time (Deut. 31: 10), and he puts the ark on a cart, which is against God's commandment. The oxen stumble, Uzza puts a hand on the ark, and God strikes him dead. David is afraid of God that time, and turns the ark aside to the house of Obededom.
