Recycling Means U. S. and Oklahoma Jobs § Robust market for post-consumer glass in the U. S. and Oklahoma. § Glass, aluminum, and plastic companies ALL rely on recycled beverage containers as ingredients in new products. § All industries are energy intensive and compete against foreign produced containers who face fewer regulatory pressures and costs. § U. S. glass manufacturing faces direct competition from Mexican glass companies right on the border, producing cheaper products in a less regulated environment. U.
