However, incentives are improved from time to time, investors are encouraged to regularly visit our website for up to date information. (a) Capital Investment Allowances Capital allowances are offered to investors investing in capital projects. These are offered on a reducing balance basis and include: (i) Investment Allowance Based on Location. This is provided as follows: 150% Investment allowance for projects outside the jurisdiction of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa cities and 100% investment allowance for other locations (ii) Investment Deduction. This is granted to encourage development in manufacturing industries. It is granted, once at 100% in the first year of use, to any person who incurs capital expenditure on construction of a new building and installation therein of new or old manufacturing machinery.
