Hebrews 12 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

60 -0729 - What It Takes To Overcome All Unbelief: Our Faith You don't do that. You just—you're sick, and you want to get well, so you just submit yourself to the doctor and he goes on and does the work. That's all there is to it. That's the same way about Jesus Christ. Oh, my. I hope tonight that He performs a great operation on all of our faith. Don't you hope so? Take all the ruptured appendix out, all the—all the other things, the little scavengers that's hanging around over us, the barnacles, and come on through disappointments and things tonight.

60 -0729 - What It Takes To Overcome All Unbelief: Our Faith Just let God operate on our faith and take all of it out, take everything away, and when we wake up to the fact to know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, we'll have a perfect faith to work on through this coming week.

Disappointments

When one little disappointment comes about something, someone comes in and misconstrues something, and then we go to say, "Oh, well, it's all fanaticism; maybe there's nothing to it after all. 55 -0403 - Fellowship By Redemption That's the reason Christ become human, that He might know the groans of sickness, that He might know the heartaches of disappointment, that He, with us, might have fellowship together, for He's been partaking of life like we have, of disappointments, and heartaches, and sickness, for He bore our sicknesses and our troubles in His own body: Fellowship.

60 -0712 - Hear Ye Him That's not so with our King Jesus. I don't care how little you are, how little you do, you cannot do the smallest thing without Him knowing all about it. He knows every little heartache, every little pain that you bear, every little disappointment you have, no matter how little it is. He still knows all about it.
