This year SLT voted and approved a healthy snack policy for all grades K-5. Why a Healthy Snack? NC rated 11 th in childhood obesity. Research proves children perform better when they have 9 -10 hours of sleep, a balanced diet, including 2 nutritional snacks a day. Please check our web-site for our policy and guidelines on bringing in a snack for your child. 2 nd grade will have their working snack around 9: 45 a. m. each morning. CMS Assessments K-2: Summatives, DIBELS, Running Records, Co. GAT Grade Level Student Supplies 2 nd Grade needs a composition notebook for Science Lab…please have this for your child’s first lab day. Required Reading for 2 nd Grade is 5 times per week for 20 minutes (Mon-Thurs, plus Fri, Sat, OR Sun). Please record the title, pages read, and signature in your child’s agenda.
