Agenda 1. CLA Introduction 2. Aspects in Air Transport 3. ELA Logistics Certification 4. GNSS Challenges in Transport 5. Summary and contact
1. CLA introduction • CLA celebrates this year the 21 th anniversary • Member of European Logistics Association • ECBL Logistics Certification since 2008 • Initiated the Expert Team for Logistics (ET) as an expert advisory body, which – through the integration of unions, associations and other entities – extends influence on the state administration and local authorities
2. Aspects in air transport Situation in V 4 countries • • CEE region airfreight volumes are growing again A few Freighters projects in region PRG, BUD, BTS, KTW Handling capacities not in good shape , except PRG Wide-body flights with more air cargo capacity Competitive hubs FRA, AMS, PAR, MUC, VIE, LUX, MIL, LEI. Consolidation in traditional hubs in western Europe About 75% if airfreight is tracked (RFS) to/from other airports • Simplifying procedures like e-freight, paperless, CASS are available • Ideal opportunities for new routes, hubs and distribution channels
Aifreight facts Shipper Export 34% 8% Import 58% Consignee • The flight is only 8% of total cycle time • Traditional Air Cargo transit time is around 5 days • Freight forwarders controls about 90% of the airline distribution channel

3. ELA Logistics Certification A Standard of Competence ELA certification recognises people’s competence making the certificate extremely attractive for serving as a basis for evaluation, training and recruitment. Concept • One common standard Using the same terminology and definitions everywhere • International Recognition ELA certification is widely recognised. This increases the flexibility and mobility of certified logistics employees • A local assessment by National Certification Boards Assessment is available from National Certification Boards established in more than 20 countries
ELA linked to EQF • The European Quality Framework – EQF • The ELA Standards are mapped to the European Qualification Framework, an EU initiative for harmonising life-long learning. The EQF is a common European reference system that links a number of national qualifications systems and frameworks together. In practice, it functions as a translation device making qualifications transferable. Using this common framework enables learners and workers to have their skills and qualifications recognised in many countries. An ELA certificate recognises competences and validates logisticians’ experience at different levels. • •
ELA Certificates levels • European Certified Logistician at the Supervisory/Operational Management level – EJLog, it is for supervisors in an operational role and for first line managers • European Certified Logistician at the Senior Management level ESLog, is good for managers or consultants planning, coordinating and controlling different parts of the logistics network • European Certified Logistician at the Strategic Management level EMLog, for senior managers, senior consultants or directors with considerable experience in logistics management
ELA Standards 2014 New Restructured modules are set in 4 groups (*compulsory) and 9 modules • • Business Principles* – Business Principles – Core Management Skills Logistics & Supply Chain Design* – Process Management – Project & Change Management Logistics & Supply Chain Execution – Warehousing – Transportation – Sourcing – Customer Service Logistics & Supply Chain Planning – Demand, Production and distributions Requirement Planning
