US 183 (Research Blvd. ) Great Hills Trail • Take the exit Capital of Texas Hwy/Great Hills Trail/Texas 360 loop. • Turn left onto N. Capital of Texas Hwy/TX 360 Loop S. • In less than ¼ mile, turn right onto Arboretum Blvd. (This will be your first right. ) Renaissance Hotel • Travel up the hill. Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World and just recently held the South by Southwest Music Festival with 1, 000+ bands and numerous record company representatives in attendance. Sorry you missed this wonderful festival but you can still hear and see bands perform live in many different venues on 6 th street playing everything from rock to country and everything in-between.
