ABS 2 – Business Organisations Objectives • In this course, students are introduced with the various types of organisations in a selection of countries in order to understand better the organisation structures, roles and duties of the organisation members, in a practical environment. ABS 3 – Complex Business Organisations Objectives • This course goes further in the understanding of the organisational structures, highlighting the specificities of multi-locations companies or companies operating with partners. Practical cases will illustrate how the roles and duties are distributed in these complex environments. ABS 4 – Strategic Planning Objectives • This course provides with the essential elements of strategic marketing and management. Emphasis is on the value creation and growth. ABS 5 – Business accounting and forecasting Objectives • After completing this course, students will be able to explain the main accounting principles in the financial statements of a company, and how they are used by the management to make forecasts in the short term and long term. Content • Financial accounting • Introduction to cost accounting and management reporting • Internal control and audit • Information systems in business accounting • Cases: ongoing projects, cashier, currencies, taxes
ABS 6 – Innovation Management Objectives • During this course, students are explained the necessity of innovation to adapt to a changing environment, are provided with tools for an effective portfolio management, and are presented with examples of how innovation can totally change the shape of a business. ABS 7 – Business Development Objectives • In this course, the students are introduced to the fundamentals of business development: developing alliances and identifying business partners, developing business ties and alliances, to sustain and support growth. ABS 8 – Boost your commercial potential Objectives • This lecture will give some tools for effective commercial results in developing business ties by alternating short exercises and role playing situations: how to pass the barrier of the personal assistant? How to conduct telephone sessions? Content • Organising your work • How to collect valuable information? • Personality types • How to obtain a business meeting? • Business pitch • How to reach top management? • How to be successful for a job interview?
ABS 9 – Human Resources Management Objectives • The objective of this course is to present students how to effectively sustain the business growth with an adequate human resources policy: how to recruit people, train them and retain them? Content • Talent management: recruiting, training and retaining • Performance evaluation • Components of remuneration • Case: income taxes and social charges in France
ABS 10 – Organisational Behaviour Objectives • The objective of this course is to give the students an overview of the environment and common behaviours at work. After completing it, students will be aware of labour ethics and equity, and of health and security in both office situations and industrial environments. Content • Labour ethics • Managing cultural diversity • Case: gender discrimination • Health, Security, Environment • Case: how innovation supports security in an industrial environment?
ABS 11 – Risk Management Objectives • In this course, we will see different types of risks that can occur, how to measure them and what are the possible responses for each category of risk. Content • Case: overview of an oil exploration campaign • Classifying and measuring risks • What attitude to adopt? • Possible responses: avoiding, reducing, covering the risk • Case: covering risk of price valuation in commodity markets
ABS 12 – Business Cases Objectives • The objective of this business case is to train the ability of the students to work in groups and put together the content of that course.
