APA Risk Update • Risk 2 – It is substantially more difficult to meet mechanical tolerances than expected – Probability: medium – Impact: ~1– 2 months – Mitigation strategy: Varies; buy new steel that has less inherent bow, modify or reorder new wire wrapping boards if out of spec. – Comment: Experience to date shows that frames are ok, wire boards have needed some rework, newer boards are in spec. 2/3/2017 Robert Paulos

APA Risk Update • Risk 3 – Production problems lead to many broken wires on an APA – – 2/3/2017 Probability: Medium Impact: 3 months Mitigation: Produce a spare (7 th) APA at PSL Comments: If something major occurred there is still time to build a spare APA. The amount of handling during and between winding increases the probability of this event occurring from low to medium Robert Paulos

APA Risk Update • Risk 4 – UK APA facility takes longer to set up than expected – – 2/3/2017 Probability: Medium Impact: 3 months Mitigation: Produce a spare (7 th) APA at PSL Comment: In general the UK facility is taking longer than planned to set up. If this risk is realized, a decision will have to be made on a spare by ~July 1 Robert Paulos
