What is a Weekly World Watch? The idea is simple. It is to look at current events and compare them to events spoken of in the Bible. . I hope to build up a picture of God’s hand working in the affairs of this world. God is bringing about a day when all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. At that time God will send His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, back to this earth. Jesus will then establish God’s kingdom on earth. This kingdom will last for ever. This is our hope and the reason we watch. The following six themes will appear repeatedly in WWW: • Israel: The continuing conflict in the Middle East and focus on Jerusalem. • Europe: Its developing union, both political and religious. • Russia: Its return to anti-Western ways as Bible prophecy’s “king of the north. ” • The UK and the US: Bible prophecy’s “king of the south. ” • Moral standards in decline and violence on the increase. • Increasing natural disasters: including earthquake, famine etc WWW presentations in Power. What is in a Weekly World Watch? Each WWW looks at a few key developments that have happened during the past week. It is in no way meant to be exhaustive – just a look at those events I saw as significant from a Biblical point of view. Every WWW event slide has the following format. Israel report: Iran building missile factory in Syria Reuters, August 15, 2017 EVENT An Israeli television report said on Tuesday that Iran is building a facility in northwest Syria to manufacture long-range rockets, and showed satellite images it said were of the site under construction. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned last week that Iran was strengthening its foothold in its ally Syria as Islamic State fighters were being displaced, and said Israel was watching developments and would act against any threat. "Our policy is clear: We vehemently oppose the military buildup by Iran and its proxies, primarily Hezbollah, in Syria and we will do whatever it takes to protect Israel's security, " he said in a speech. The Channel 2 television news report showed images it said were taken by an Israeli satellite showing a site in northwest Syria near the Mediterranean coastal town of Baniyas, saying some of the construction indicated explosives would be stored there. COMMENT We may be moving into a new and more dangerous phase in Syria. As Russia and the Assad regime take control over more parts of Syria and areas controlled by ISIS, Iran’s influence also increases. Iran sent many fighters into Syria to support Assad and now it wants to capitalise on its involvement in that country. Iran is helping Syria manufacture new long range rockets. The Israeli prime minister said this week that Israel will do whatever it takes to protect Israel’s security. A warning that Israel will continue to strike where they need to without reference to other nations. The Bible says that when Damascus is totally destroyed and Syria ends as nation, northern Israel is greatly weakened. This is an initial conflict coming soon between Israel and its surrounding nearby neighbours spoken of as well in Zechariah 12. BIBLE QUOTE On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a flame that sets a woodpile ablaze or like a burning torch among sheaves of grain. They will burn up all the neighbouring nations right and left, while the people living in Jerusalem remain secure. Zechariah 12 is about the initial inner ring war – Zechariah 14 is about the outer ring war of Ezekiel 38 (Zechariah 12: 6 NLT)

Trump to send team to work on Israel-Palestinian peace Associated Press, August 11, 2017 EVENT President Donald Trump is sending three senior officials to the Middle East in coming days to discuss prospects for resuming the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, the White House said Friday. In a statement, it said Trump believes the return of calm to Jerusalem after a period of unrest over a contested holy site has created an opportunity to restart discussions. To explore that opportunity, it said departing “soon” for the region will be Trump’s adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner; his envoy for international negotiations Jason Greenblatt; and deputy national security adviser Dina Powell. “He believes that the restoration of calm and the stabilized situation in Jerusalem after the recent crisis on the Temple Mount-Haram al Sharif has created an opportunity to continue discussions and the pursuit of peace that began early in his administration, ” it said. The three are to meet leaders from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Israel and the Palestinian Authority “about how best to support the peace effort, ” it said. COMMENT There is total chaos in the White House it seems as this week yet another senior official resigned. Trump’s turnabout on the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia has rocked his administration, leading to rising speculation that other officials may be looking for a way out. A parade of business executives broke ties with Trump on Wednesday, a day after he blamed white nationalists and counter-protesters in equal measure for the weekend clashes that left one woman dead. And in this crisis Trump now wants to solve the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians! A time of conflict is initially coming between Israel and her neighbours not a time of peace. Trump’s involvement may help this happen…. BIBLE QUOTE A long time from now you will be called into action. In the distant future you will swoop down on the land of Israel, which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel. You and all your allies—a vast and awesome army. The war Israel is recovering from is the initial inner ring war of Zechariah 12. (Ezekiel 38: 8 NLT)

Turkey to boost military cooperation with Iran Reuters, August 17, 2017 EVENT Turkey and Iran have agreed to boost military cooperation after talks in Ankara this week between the Iranian armed forces chief of staff and Turkish leaders, President Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman said on Thursday. Iran's military chief General Mohammad Baqeri met Erdogan on Wednesday on a visit Turkish media said was the first to Turkey by an Iranian military chief of staff since the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran. Erdogan spokesman Ibrahim Kalin described the visit as "fruitful and successful", adding that talks focused on counter-terrorism, the battle with Islamic State, and a joint effort by Iran, Turkey and Russia to stem the fighting in parts of Syria. "An agreement was reached to hold further high-level visits from now on, " Kalin told a news conference. "A series of activities will also be held to boost military cooperation. " COMMENT Until a few years ago Turkey was seeking to join the EU. However President Erdogan has now taken the country in a very different direction. He is a dictator like Putin and despite Turkey shooting down a Russian warplane has become close allies with him. Russia and Turkey have agreed to work together militarily. And now this week there is an announcement that Turkey will boost military cooperation with Iran. These nations line up exactly as God said they would in Ezekiel 38. Russia is Magog, Meshech and Tubal. Iran is Persia. Turkey is Togarmah. This chapter tells us that these nations are all militarily allied together. And this is exactly what we see happening in this headline. On another related note Iran is furious over new US legislation authorising more sanctions on Iran. Chanting "Death to America, " Iran's parliament voted unanimously Sunday to increase spending on its ballistic missile program. BIBLE QUOTE Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya will join you, too, with all their weapons. Gomer and all its armies will also join you, along with the armies of Beth-Togarmah from the distant north, and many others. (Ezekiel 38: 5 -6)

'European Union is just another name for 4 th Reich!’: Poles FURIOUS at German-led EU Express, August 16, 2017 EVENT THE ultimate goal of the European Union is to dissolve borders under a communist German super-state, a trio of Polish experts has claimed. A panel of experts discussing the current political climate in Poland, told a political discussion show that instability in the nation was caused by the EU's goal to deprive European nations of their independence. "It is written in the programme that 'the first goal is to erase borders dividing Europe into sovereign states' and that 'every single undertaking must be verified under this first point'. ” They underlined that in their view this is the root of all political problems sweeping through the continent. These comments were mirrored by Stanisław Michalkiewicz, a lawyer and political commentator, who tore into the EU by accusing it of being a "Fourth Reich". "With the use of European institutions it heads towards the dissolution of countries and nations, but even when that happens, someone will have to steer the European Union. ” COMMENT Poland is wanting to change it’s justice system and the EU is not happy about the proposed reforms. So the EU has said it would stop Poland from voting in Brussels if it does push ahead with these changes. This has led to protests about the EU across Poland. It has also led to some interesting debates where Polish experts have said the EU project is a plan to remove all borders and have a giant superstate controlled by Germany. They have called it the 4 th Reich. In fact these experts are correct. This is exactly what the plan is! The Bible speaks of this resurrected Holy Roman Empire in Revelation 17. The beast that will rise out of the abyss IS the Germanic Superstate that will one day appear again on earth. The EU is part of the story that will lead to this. BIBLE QUOTE The beast you saw was once alive but isn’t now. And yet he will soon come up out of the bottomless pit and go to eternal destruction. Reich = Empire. The 1 st Reich was the Holy Roman Empire. The 2 nd Reich was the Germanic Empire. The 3 rd Reich was Nazi Germany. The 4 th Reich is the future Germanic Superstate. It is this Reich/beast in this chapter. (Revelation 17: 8)

Solar Eclipse “Final wake-up call” Breaking Israel News, August 16, 2017 EVENT A rare confluence of conflicting elemental forces may appear next Monday off the coast of America, when a rare hurricane is expected to hit the north Atlantic precisely as the shadow of a total solar eclipse passes overhead. “This is precisely what happened before the flood of Noah, "said Rabbi Pinchas Winston, an end-of-days expert and prolific author on the subject. “The Midrash (Talmud) states that God sent unusual weather before the flood in order to rouse the people to do tshuva (repent). ” Next week’s mix of darkness and raging storm is indeed rare. The last time solar eclipse appeared over a hurricane in the Atlantic was in 1959. The last time a solar eclipse traversed the United States was 99 years ago. “God uses nature to nudge us along, to trigger us to decide. Any occurrence that is outside of the norm is intended to make people think, each in his own way. People of faith can become stronger in their while secular people can become more so, ” Rabbi Winston told Breaking Israel News. COMMENT The timing of the eclipse certainly points towards a call for repentance. The eclipse will end just a few hours before the Hebrew month of Elul begins, initiating a forty-day period of repentance culminating in the holy day of Yom Kippur, the most sombre day of the Jewish calendar, when tradition holds that God completes his judgement of the world and closes the Book of Life. The forty days between the first day of Elul and Yom Kippur correspond to the 40 days that Moses spent repenting to God for Israel on Mount Sinai. As the judgement of the entire world draws nigh we too should repent as we see these amazing signs and wonders and ask for God’s mercy during the time of trouble such as never was…. which is soon to begin…. . BIBLE QUOTE God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him. For he has set a day for judging the world with justice by the man he has appointed, and he proved to everyone who this is by raising him from the dead. ” (Acts 17: 30 -31 NLT)

Deadly Barcelona attack is worst in a day of violence CNN, August 18, 2017 EVENT Spain saw one of its most violent days in recent memory as a spate of incidents throughout the country appeared to be connected to a terror attack Thursday in Barcelona that left 13 people dead and more than 100 injured. Authorities said they are working under the assumption that two other deadly events, a terrorist incident in the seaside city of Cambrils and a house explosion farther down the coast in Alcanar, were linked to the van attack in Barcelona that had ISIS taking credit. Also Thursday, two police officers in Barcelona were hurt when they were hit by a car, but police were unsure whether that was related to the other incidents. The deadly events began in the early evening with a van plowing through crowds on the renowned Las Ramblas avenue, a popular tourist section of Barcelona. Authorities said of the 80 people taken to hospitals, 15 were seriously hurt. As police searched for the van driver, Spain's Prime Minister called it an act of "jihadi terrorism. " COMMENT In September 2014, ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammad al-Adnani called for lone wolf attacks using improvised weaponry, “run him over with your car” he said. October 22, 2014 – 2 people are killed when a driver swerves into a crowd at a light rail station in Jerusalem. July 14, 2016 – In Nice, France, a man drives a 20 -ton rental truck into the crowd, killing at least 84 people. December 19, 2016 - A Tunisian man drives a tractor trailer into a Christmas market in Berlin, killing 12 people. March 22, 2017 - A man drives into a crowd on Westminster Bridge in London, killing at least four. April 7, 2017 At least four people are killed when a truck drives into pedestrians on a busy street in the centre of Stockholm. And so it goes on – we live in the age of terror…. . BIBLE QUOTE There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
