Parents have to do a lot of shopping: school bags, notebooks, pencil cases, shoes, clothes etc. But the most difficult thing is the purchase of school uniforms for the child.
20 years ago, according to the Law of the Russian Federation «About education» adopted in 1992 and students changed their brown dress and blue costumes for casual clothes. But in 2013 on the first of September entered into force the law, according to which schools have the right to establish the clothes
Hypothesis: school uniform organizes and disciplines the students, creates a favorable environment for study, is an indicator of prestige. Purpose of work: the union of our students in our school obeying the rule of the business style. Tasks: 1. Learn the history of school uniforms. 2. Analyze uniforms and attitudes of adults and children. Object of research - participants of the educational process. Subject of research - school clothes for girls and boys. The main sources of my work are: books, periodicals. Also some information I received from the Internet sources.
The word 'uniform' means literally 'having the same form'. So a school uniform means that every kid in the school wears the same clothes. A school uniform came to Russia from England in 1834. The first uniforms were made for boys and some years later for girls. Boys had special shirts, trousers, black boots and a cap. Girls wore brown dresses and aprons. Today, schools in Russia have their own uniform that students are required to wear.

Practice Working on the project, we conducted an opinion poll in 3 directions: teachers, parents, pupils of the school We found out the following: from 10 10 teachers, them are “ for” school uniforms. The teachers are sure that a school uniforms disciplines. Children in the uniform of strict classical style are more calm, concentrated on the study. Also the teachers want their pupils to wear comfortable, creative, beautiful, practical , of natural fabrics, dark blue and black uniforms.
10 people were interviewed among parents. All 10 parents are “for” school uniforms. In the questionnaire it was noted that strict style creates business atmosphere necessary for the lessons. It disciplines a person. Therefore, when all students are dressed in regulation uniforms, there is less focus on fashion in the classroom and more focus on learning.
We interviewed 30 students of the 3 -11 forms. According to the results 19 are “for” and 11 are “against”. Students who are “for”, said the next good things about a school uniform It shows the status, disciplines and shows equality of the pupils. They want to wear black skirt or trousers and a white blouse. Students who are “against” feel their selves uncomfortable in the school uniform and they lose their ties.
We asked the students to draw a project of their own uniforms they would like to wear which would be beautiful, stylish, comfortable and modern. Here they are. This is the first picture drawn by the student of the primary school, the second and the third of the secondary school. № 1 № 2 № 3 So, as we see, the students of our school want to wear a bright, beautiful, comfortable uniform.
Good things about school uniform Having a school uniform is also good because: • You don't have to worry about what to wear on a school day. • You know that everyone else will be wearing school uniform. • You can save your 'good' stuff for nights and weekends. • The clothes are usually practical and comfortable to wear. • Uniforms can be handed down to other kids in the family. • You can sell or buy second hand uniform at the school.
• With a uniform you have got most of the clothes you need to wear so you don't need as many casual clothes, and if you are growing quickly that will be a big saving for mum, dad or whoever buys your clothes. • It promotes equity because everyone has to wear the same. • There is less pressure on kids to wear the latest fashion, which may not be suitable for wearing all day. • Most primary schools don't have change rooms or showers, so there is nowhere suitable for changing into sports clothes for sports lessons. So, casual and comfortable clothes that can be okay to wear when doing anything at all are best.
Bad things about school uniform • Some school uniforms are very formal looking and may take a lot of looking after. • Skirts or formal pants are not good for doing sport or running around at lunchtime or recess. • Some uniforms are a bit too casual and comfortable and can look rather sloppy and not very neat. • School uniforms are rarely fashionable. • They can be expensive.
