WP 2: Identification of the WP • Workpackage type: Development • Workpackage title: Design and implementation of Capacity Building Activities • Start-end (Months): 13 -20, Duration: 8 months • Workpackage leader: URAK – University of Ruse • Purpose of the WP: to build and strengthen the capacities of the UZ universities as promoter of the regional innovation systems. The capacity building activities will focus on trainings, visits of staff from PC to EU countries and to the setup of the regulatory framework and procedures for management services of universities and for partnerships with companies and other entities.

WP 2: Task 2. 1 “Development and delivery of the training program” • Description: üThe training programme will cover a wide range of topics. A module on Business English has been planned to ensure an improvement of basic language knowledge. üThe training programme will be implemented through e-learning (each course lasting 2 weeks) and through face-to-face learning (a one-week course to be delivered in UZ by staff of Uzbekistan and European partners) with a combination of different learning and teaching methods. • Deliverable: D 2. 1 “Training program” • Delivery Date: 27 Feb 2015

WP 2: Task 2. 2 “Design and implementation of the Mobility programme” • Description: üThe mobility programme will be mainly devoted to staff from PC partners. üIn particular 45 professors (with focus on education activities), 30 managers or administrative officers (visits of KTOs and STPs to learn how to manage them) and 45 researchers (exchange experience and set the basis for joint research projects) from the PC universities will be involved in 2 weeks mobility in one of the EU partners. üThe UZ Universities will recruit participants among the learners attending the training programmes. • Deliverable: D 2. 2 “Mobility progarmme”, • Delivery Date: 30 Apr 2015

WP 2: Description. Task 2. 3 “Regulatory framework and procedures for UBSS” • Description: Regulatory framework and procedures for wellfunctioning and management of universities support services, will be developed and agreed to serve as basis for the work to be performed under the following WP. • Target groups: Teachers, Administrative and other non-teaching staff , Representatives from business support organisations • Deliverable: D 2. 3 “Regulatory framework and procedures for UBSS” • Delivery Date: 30 July 2015

WP 2: Description. Task 2. 4 “Regulatory Framework & procedures for B&M partnership” • Description: Regulatory framework and procedures for bilateral and multilateral partnerships will be developed with view to the establishment of the Regional Knowledge Platforms and of bilateral or multilateral agreements between the universities and businesses. • Target group: Teachers, Administrative and other non-teaching staff , Representatives from business support organisations • Deliverable: D 2. 4 “Regulatory Framework & procedures for B&M partnership” • Delivery Date: 30 July 2015

WP 2: Partners involved – Leading partner • Leading partner of the Work Package: URAK • Duties: üEffectively coordinate the partners from EU and UZ in the development of the Training programme. üDeal with the development of the content and the creation of a regulatory framework and procedures both for creation of univbusin support structure and the management of bilateral and multilateral partnerships.

WP 2: Partners involved – UZ partners • All Uzbek partners give support to the EU partners in the development of the content for the training programme. • All Uzbek partners will be in charge for the recruitment of trainees and in a second phase for their selection in order to attend the mobility programme. • All Uzbek partners devote time for the draw of the regulatory framework and procedures.
