House Bill 284 – Creates protocols for informing parents about the dangers of concussions House Bill 284 – Creates protocols for informing parents about the dangers of concussions and for identifying and treating players with head injuries. – Requires any student in a public or private k-12 school who shows signs of a concussion to be removed from practice and games and would not be able to return until a doctor says it is safe. – Public sports leagues are also required to provide concussion forms to parents and guardians and encouraged to apply the policies to their programs.

House Bill 1176 – WHO: “volunteers in the public, private, for-profit and non-profit sectors House Bill 1176 – WHO: “volunteers in the public, private, for-profit and non-profit sectors that provide "care, treatment, education, training, supervision, coaching, counseling, recreational programs, or shelter to children. Pre-Season Practice • Full contact shall be allowed in no more than 2 consecutive Pre-Season Practice • Full contact shall be allowed in no more than 2 consecutive practice days per week; • Full contact during practice shall be limited to not more than 45 minutes per day; • Full contact during practice shall be limited to not more than 135 minutes per week;

Regular & Post Season Practice • Full contact during practice shall be allowed in Regular & Post Season Practice • Full contact during practice shall be allowed in no more than three (3) practice days per week; • Full contact during practice shall not be allowed on more than two (2) consecutive days; • Full contact during practice shall be limited to not more than 30 minutes per day; • Full contact during practice shall be limited to not more than 90 minutes per week.
