ACT Reports • ACT provides two types of reports: – Graduating Class ACT results – based on the previous graduating seniors – NEW: State-wide administration results for the 11 th grade administration
The 2012 ACT • All NC 11 th grade students were administered the ACT in March 2012 – 9 other states with same requirement: Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, North Dakota, Tennessee, Wyoming • Baseline year as a high school measure in the new NC READY accountability model – College and Career Readiness
ACT’s College and Career Readiness System • EXPLORE – 8 th grade (first time in 2012 -13) • PLAN – 10 th grade • ACT – 11 th grade
2011 -12 State Testing Program • All Grade 11 Students: – ACT – English (45 mins), Mathematics (60 mins), Reading (35 mins), Science (35 mins), and Writing (30 mins) • Standard Time, ACT-Approved Accommodations, and State-Allowed Accommodations • Not used for accountability in 2011 -12 • Used for accountability in 2012 -13
