They will not take wood from the field nor cut down any from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons; and they will plunder those who plundered them, and pillage those who pillaged them. ”

Therefore they will call it the Valley of Hamon Gog (‘the Multitude of Gog’).

At the end of 7 MONTHS they will make a search. The search party will pass through the land; and when anyone sees a man’s bone, he shall set up a marker by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog. The name of the City will also be Hamonah. Thus they shall cleanse the Land. ”

In view of the 7 YEAR clean-up, it must happen at least 7 years before the 2 nd coming of Christ. This means it should occur prior to the Antichrist confirming a treaty with Israel for 7 years. So, the next two events could be: 1. Psalms 83 War – Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria + © 2011 Coastland University 2. The Gog Magog Ware – Russia, Turkey, Iran, + 3. Rome give Power to the Antichrist to bring peace…

When he does, he will soon ‘confirm’ a covenant with many – bringing a false peace with Israel and it’s enemies. This begins the last 7 years of the earth as it is now – under Satan’s control. © 2011 Coastland University It is the breaking of the first seal. It is the most talked about period of time in prophecy.

Some ‘Pop’ Eschatology • • • © 2011 Coastland University We will spend eternity in heaven. The ‘Tribulation’ is a 7 year period of wrath on earth. The ‘Time of Jacobs Trouble’ is the 7 year ‘Tribulation’. The antichrist will arise from a 10 nation confederacy The parable of the 10 bridesmaids (they wait for the groom in the brides house and do not know the day he will come) • In the last 7 years, God deals with Israel, not the church • Christians restrain the coming of the Antichrist • The Holy Spirit restrains the coming of the Antichrist and will be taken out of the way.

© 2011 Coastland University Let’s explore the last 7 years of human/Satan rule on this planet. The 70 th Week of Daniel. • Many people call it the great tribulation period, or the time of Jacob’s trouble. • The Bible never calls these seven years by either name. Those titles refer to a short time in the 70 th wk. • Jer 30: 2 "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'Write all the words which I have spoken to you in a book. 3 'For behold, days are coming, ' declares the LORD, 'when I will restore the fortunes of My people Israel and Judah. ' The LORD says, 'I will also bring them back to the land that I gave to their forefathers and they shall possess it. '" 4 Now these are the words which the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah: 5 "For thus says the LORD, 'I have heard a sound of terror, Of dread, and there is no peace. 6 'Ask now, and see If a male can give birth. Why do I see every man With his hands on his loins, as a woman in childbirth? And why have all faces turned pale? • Jer 30: 7 'Alas! for that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob's distress, But he will be saved from it. : 8 'It shall come about on that day, ' declares the LORD of hosts, 'that I will break his yoke from off their neck and will tear off their bonds; and strangers will no longer make them their slaves.

© 2011 Coastland University The time of Jacob’s trouble refers to an event that takes place in the midst of the 70 th week of Daniel. • It is after God has made them a nation again – already done. • It begins with a very short time of distress for the Jews and immediate release from the yoke of bondage • This happens right after the abomination of desolation in the middle of the 70 th week! • It refers in Jeremiah to ‘that day’ – “a great day, there is none like it” (Jeremiah 30: 7) • It is the same ‘day’ that begins the day of the Lord! • The Day of the Lord begins with the Rapture and ends at the final judgment, after the 1000 year reign of Christ. • That day the Jews will be free from the anti-christ and taken to the wilderness to be protected until the wrath of God is complete!

The antichrist is ‘revealed’ as the antichrist when he goes into the Jewish temple and exalts himself above God. © 2011 Coastland University This time, the great tribulation is after the Abomination of Desolation, at the breaking of the sixth seal. The whole seven year period is simply known as the 70 th week of Daniel. It begins with the Antichrist coming to power – the first seal.

© 2011 Coastland University The stage is set… • Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan will come against Israel. (Psalm 83) • Russia has pledged to defend Syria. • Isaiah 17: 1 says that Damascus will be destroyed completely. • This will lead to Russia, Iran, Turkey, and others coming against Israel and being defeated. • The UN will take control • The EU will elect a spokesman, who will be the antichrist. • He will make a peace treaty with Israel, and the 70 th week of Daniel ( the 7 year ‘tribulation’) will begin.

The scroll is about to be unsealed as told in Rev. 5: 1 -3 & 6: 1+ © 2011 Coastland University Dan 12: 4 "But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase. " Rev 5: 1 I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals. Rev 5: 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals? " Rev 5: 3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the book or to look into it. Rev 6: 1 Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come. " Rev 6: 2 I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. The first seal is the coming of the anti-christ and the beginning of the last seven years of human rule on this earth. Today, we will look into that scroll and discover what the first seal brings!

7 Years Total - 3. 5 of Anti-Christ Rule, Abomination, Great Tribulation, and then wrath, Armageddon, 2 nd coming The week begins with the 7 year covenant in Dan. 9: 27 *The rise of the Roman system out of which the pseudo Christ comes to power. © 2011 Coastland University This begins the breaking of the seals. A Babylonian document sealed with 7 seals. Very important.

The 1 st 5 Seals are Broken, The Four Horsemen are Released All of this takes place in the first half of the 70 th week of Daniel. 1 st White Horseman Mt. 24: 5 Rev. 6: 1 -2 Ten nations give Anti. Christ powers. Anti-Christ makes his 7 year covenant with Israel. 70 th week begins. © 2011 Coastland University Rev. 13 Rev. 11 Israel Rebuilds their temple Rev. 11: 2 -6 Two witnesses prophesy for 3. 5 years. Likely Enoch and 2 nd Red Horseman 3 rd Black Horseman Mt. 24: 6 -7 a Rev. 6: 3 -4 Mt. 24: 7 b Rev. 6: 5 -6 3 of the 10 nations refuse to give Anti-Christ power, he comes against them with a sword and ‘uproots’ them. Anti-Christ conquers. Famine - This may lead to the implementation of the mark of the beast. Rev. 13: 15 -18 5 th 4 th Pale Horseman Mt. 24: 7 c-10 Rev. 6: 7 -8 Death by sword, hunger, & beasts of the earth. Rev. 13: 15 This will be when those who refuse to receive the mark will starve and be killed by the anti-christ. Martyrs Matt. 24: 9 -13 Rev. 6: 9 -11 Martyrs asking when the earth will be judged. II Peter 4: 16 -18 II Thess. chpt. 1&2 Rev. 13: 7 -10 Lk. 21: 16 Elijah. (Mal. 4: 5) or Moses and Elijah, both of whom were reported in Jewish tradition as having been taken up to God without dying. The LORD’s secret burial of Moses (Deut 34: 6) led to the tradition that he had not died but ascended; Elijah’s being taken up is described in 2 Kings 2: 1 -12. Matt. 11: 13 -15; 17: 11&12 John 1: 21 (John was not Elijah re-incarnated!) The two witnesses prophecy this entire time until the 6 th seal is broken.

Why ‘anti’ Christ? A Comparison…. . Beast Christ • died, rose again © 2011 Coastland University • appeared fatally wounded but healed • 3. 5 year ministry • 3. 5 years of influence • mark of the beast – • sealed believers with seals unbelievers the Holy Spirit • Note the ways in which the beast imitates Christ – he even comes as the savior of Israel and is accepted as Messiah – until he proclaims that he is God!

Let’s examine the first seal. The First seal – the Antichrist Matthew 24: 3 -5 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? " (4) And Jesus answered and said to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. (5) "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ, ' and will mislead many. 1 John 2: 18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. © 2011 Coastland University Revelation 6: 1 -2 Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come. Dan 9: 27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week” This will begin the 70 th week of Daniel (the Tribulation).

Revived Rome & it’s role Rev 17: 12 "The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. Rev 17: 13 "These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast. © 2011 Coastland University Rev 13: 1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. Rev 13: 2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.

And the antichrist will come to power… Rev 13: 3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; Rev 13: 4 they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him? " © 2011 Coastland University Rev 13: 5 There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act forty-two months was given to him.

What about Babylon - USA © 2011 Coastland University • Babylon will use the beast and his system, thinking it is accomplishing it’s goal of world peace through him, thus ‘riding on the beast’. • However, once the beast comes to power, he will hate Babylon and God will give him the strength to defeat her. • (Revelation 17: 16 -17): • "The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled. "

• The Antichrist and Babylon the Great will be bitter enemies. Babylon will exercise global power before the Antichrist, but after he appears the beast and the ten kings will attack Babylon, shifting global power into the hands of the beast. • Babylon will be utterly destroyed… © 2011 Coastland University • But what about the Christians in Babylon?

© 2011 Coastland University There will be a clear call to flee prior to the destruction… • Rev 18: 3 "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality. " • Rev 18: 4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out people, of her, my people so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; • Rev 18: 5 for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Jer 51: 5 For neither Israel nor Judah has been forsaken By his God, the LORD of hosts, Although their land is full of guilt Before the Holy One of Israel. Jer 51: 6 Flee from the midst of Babylon, And each of you save his life! Do not be destroyed in her punishment, For this is the LORD'S time of vengeance; He is going to render recompense to her. Jer 51: 7 Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of the LORD, Intoxicating all the earth. The nations have drunk of her wine; Therefore the nations are going mad.

© 2011 Coastland University This man will be Satan’s version of the messiah. He will come to power through diplomacy and will end with complete corruption. Most of the world will idolize him and follow him. He will have a solution to the Middle East Crisis

II Thess. 2: 6 -7 © 2011 Coastland University • 2 Th 2: 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. • 2 Th 2: 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. • Who or what is the ‘restrainer’? • Scholars differ on what they believe: An Angel, the Holy Spirit, the Church, The Roman Government, etc.

© 2011 Coastland University Who is the restrainer? • The Holy Spirit is omnipresent and cannot be ‘taken out of the way’. • Angels are often given the task of restraining something or holding something back: Rev 7: 1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. • The most natural, logical meaning of this text is that a mighty angel is restraining the spirit of the antichrist, until God takes him out of the way.

Daniel 9: 26 -27 “…, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. …(27) "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, (the 70 th week of Daniel) • The Romans did this in 70 AD. They are the ‘people of the prince to come – the false messiah). • Daniel prophesied the great Roman Empire would, in the time of the end consist of ten nations (ten toes on the statue). It could be the WEU!

© 2011 Coastland University He will have authority for 3. 5 years as the false messiah – a world leader that finally brings peace to the Middle east… Rev 13: 3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; Rev 13: 4 they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him? OK, we also know that the antichrist will have a number – 666. © 2011 Coastland University There is such a global colapse of the economy, that this new world government institutes a ‘mark’ that… Rev 13: 16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, Rev 13: 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. Rev 13: 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. 666

• At no time in history has a mark ever been used as a means to buy and sell. © 2011 Coastland University • Here we are given a preview of a cashless society • We are moving in that direction! • Rev 14: 9 -12 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, (10) he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. (11) "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. " (12) Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

Rev 13: 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. No one knows what this prophecy means. It could be we won’t know until he is on the scene. © 2011 Coastland University However, let me give you one theory. What if the UN, the EU, or the WEU council produced a document entitled ‘ 666’, and, what if that document created a new position for a leader with lots of power – specifically the ability to make a peace treaty… • That office would be referenced by the document number used to create it – 666 • Further, what if there were two documents or orders and both were numbered 666 and both gave power to that office?

The 1 st document … General Report 1998 - Chapter V: Role of the Union in the world Section 1: Common foreign and security policy (3/24). Document 666. In December the Vienna European Council expressed the opinion that the Secretary-General of the Council and High Representative for the CFSP should be appointed as soon as possible and be a personality with a strong political profile. The 2 nd document… On June 5, 2000, the WEU adopted its Assembly Recommendation 666.
