You can then get the name of the application currently associated with that extension. Patch. DB The Kurzweil 1000 and 3000 keep a database of all the patches they have installed. When they download a list of available patches from KESI's web site, they remove from that list the patches in the database, since they have already been installed. However, if you uninstall and reinstall your Kurzweil product, you might need to clear the database of installed patches. Patch. Pr. Render Some printers, notably Post. Script printers, will not print highlights from Kurzweil 3000 documents correctly. The problem is that the printers‘ drivers can't put a layer of color over a layer of text. The solution is to do the imaging in memory, then send the result to the printer. Pr. Render lets you specify which printers this should be done for. The disadvantage to this is that it can slow down printing significantly. When you run Pr. Render, it displays a list of printers on your system, with check boxes next to each one. Run. Reg This program manipulates the registry entries for programs that Windows runs when it starts up. These programs are run before the programs in the Start Up group. It displays a list of all the programs. There are buttons to move programs up or down (which is equivalent to changing the order in which they are run) or to remove a program entirely. Removing a program does not delete any software from the disk; it only removes one registry entry.
