World Tourism Statistics • The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is the United Nations agency World Tourism Statistics • The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is the United Nations agency responsible for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism. The UNWTO Department of Statistics fosters the comparability of tourism statistics by means of internationally agreed standards and the provision of guidance and methodological tools such as tourism satellite accounts (TSA). It runs regional capacity building programmes on tourism statistics. It also provides technical assistance missions on tourism statistics and the TSA to UNWTO member states.
