Directive 98/83/EC of 3 rd November 1998 on the quality of water intended for Directive 98/83/EC of 3 rd November 1998 on the quality of water intended for human consumption (OJ L 330 of 05. 12. 1998) obligated Member States to monitor the quality of water intended for human consumption Art. 7 „Member States shall take all measures necessary to ensure that regular monitoring of the quality of water intended for human consumption is carried out, in order to check that the water available to consumers meets the requirements of this Directive and in particular the parametric values set in Annex 1, parts A, B and C.
